Joe McKeag. FGFS’ hardest rider.
Full style and massive bag of tricks. This dude has taken and im sure will carry on taking FGFS to a totally new level.

Matt, keep up with these edits of other riders, they are fantastic.

Yeh, I’m digging this.
Matt Rice has done an awesome job filming and editing this video for Snow O’Connell.
It’s the first time I’ve seen both Matt Rice do an edit and Snow riding but I must say, it is a very pleasant surprise.
I love the creative lines Snow puts together in this as well. Really good to see 29” riders going fast and being super creative.
Loved this.

Matt Spencer once again putting out a great edit for fellow rider, Corey San Agustin.
According to Matt, Corey is said to have moved over to 26” only to have gone back to 700c.
Either way, dude kills it. Granted the tuck No hander at the end is ugly, but props to him for throwing one down that drop/gap. Looked insane.
Great stuff

Excuse the down right terrible music, but this is a very interesting video comparison between 3 very important cameras.
The Canon 5D mkIII, Canon C300 & RED Scarlet.
All 3 cameras have had a lot of buzz around them and they all have their own attributes. I won’t bore you with all the technicality but I think it’s easy to see that the much cheaper 5D performs equally as well, if not better, compared to the expensive “master” cameras.
Though it does have it’s own cons, the 5D mkIII shows it can easily keep up with the big boys toys and still be used as a professional DSLR.
I’ve been using my 5D mkII for around 2 years now and I love it to this day, and although I have no intention of upgrading, it’s great to see what the next version has been improved on several points. The camera will be far more easier to use as a video camera with new the positioning of some key controls and the quality is even better now it has upgraded processors. The AF as been upgraded from the orignal 9 points to the 61 points that you see in the 1D. New improvements to filmers now that it allows headphones to be plugged and to the average Joe this may seem like nonsense but to the avid movie make, this is a key feature.
Theres a lot I could talk about on the new 5D mkIII, there are some key improvements that are well worth having a read about and if you’re in the market for a new camera that has the ability to film high, professional quality footage as well as doing your photography work, then the new 5D mkIII is something you should really consider.

Love this shot by Matt of Josh Boothby going round the Minidrome during Red Bull Ride & Style.

If only I was going.
Red Bull ride & Style is this weekend and there has been plenty of hype around the event, but from the names that have been invited to ride, I’m pretty certain that we the audience won’t be let down.
I cant wait to hear the results and see the photos that people will be uploading.
Time to place your bets on who’s going to win the FGFS event and Race event.

Can’t Fool The Youth, fixed gear freestyle video magazine.
This should be interesting and it’s awesome seeing all the big names.
Looking forward to these.

From one BB17 rider to another, Chu of Hong Kong is a really shredder and one of the most sound dudes I met while I was out over east.
K Birdie (CAVS) did a sweet job filming this super talented rider and I can’t wait to ride with him again when I go back out there in September.
Owh yeh, he always rides for K’s component company, Machete Bikes. Be sure to bookmark the site as I know there will be a lot of really interesting and solid components coming out in the future.

Oscar Khan, breakbrake 17.
Another Insane edit of Oscar killing it for BB17. Man is crazy.
Ninjacats are really pushing the UK FGFS scene.

(We never saw eye to eye, but I will always give props to solid/crazy riding)

The official trailer to The Grime’s Shredwell Two.
Everyone is looking forward to see and for FGFS riders, it’s easy to see why.
The trailer has some crazy stuff in it and with The Grime’s reputation for being all out insane when it comes to riding, the full film should be equally crazy.
I’m looking forward to it. IF you’re heading out to San Francisco for the Red Bull Ride & Style, then be sure to head over to the Chrome Industry store to watch the premiere.

Levi’s commuter Range was launched in the uk the other day.
The 5th floor (Rudy & Dave) collaborated with Levi’s to create this sweet video of the collection in use around London city.
I’m loving the collection. I want one of every item. The trucker jacket is lovely and the shirt is nicely cut. The chino trousers look great.
To be honest, from what iv read and been told, Levi’s have really thought about this collection and made each product to work properly with cyclist.
Need to get me hands on some of this stuff.
Go check it out here if you haven’t already.

And Just when I thought fgfs was getting slow.IminusD release this absolutely brilliant web edit of some of their riders.
Though everyon’s move is something I expected, this edit got me mad stoked on riding. I have to get myself back on a fgfs bike and is definitely going to be a 26”.

Future Tense (credit: zhoffner)

Loving is shot and by the looks of the edit, future tense April 2012 was a wonderful event where everyone seemed to have a blast.

Two nice sequence shots of Steven Jensen by Matt Lingo.
It’s great to see and know that Matt is working all the time, I know the dude is mega busy with work but its nice to see the shots that he takes that aren’t booked months in advance.
Head to RecFail to see a few candid of Steven.
On another note, I’m looking forward to see where the SKYLMT stuff go. They seem to be building a solid team with Tyler Johnson, Matt Montoya and now Steven. Wonder if anyone else is on the rosta and when the production products will be like.
I’m in the market for a 26” frame.

Tricks:
Image 1; Feeble to 360 off
Image 2: Feeble to wheelie to bar off.

Put Matt “Slumworm” Reyes behind the lens, add a very talented rider and you know what you get…one close to perfect fgfs edit.
Matt really knows how to film, he’s got great creativity that really helps make edits stand out, like exhibit A above.
14 year old, Jonah Kessel, has been added to the Sadio team and it’s quite easy to see why. The young lad goes hard and if things carry on going the way they are for him, he may be the one to look out for for many years to come within FGFS.
